I am a devoted student of Pali the language of the earliest Buddhist texts. I find that studying these texts in their original language adds richness to my practice as a Theravadin Buddhist. I am self-taught, using the many wonderful resources for Pali students.

The Pali translations on this page are mine unless otherwise noted. These translations are not meant in any way to be “definitive” or even superior to other translations available, and readers are encouraged to compare my renderings to those of established Pali scholars. Instead, they are an attempt to look at alternate meanings or unexplored nuances in the Pali suttas.
